MONTREAL, Nov. 29, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Disciplinary Council of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec rendered its decision on the case of André Lebeuf, who will be struck from the OIQ's roll for 6 months and receive a reprimand. Mr. Lebeuf, who was convicted by the Court of Québec for fraud and breach of trust in the duties of his office for accepting a commission, goods and monetary benefits, was found guilty under section 149.1 of the Professional Code for committing a criminal offence related to the practice of his profession of engineer.
Furthermore, Mr. Lebeuf was found guilty of failing to notify the secretary of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec that he was convicted of a criminal offence on June 27, 2013, in violation of section 59.3 of the Professional Code.
