TORONTO, March 7, 2014 /CNW/ - In a unanimous vote, Hanmer, Ontario's Anick Gervais became the first houseguest evicted from Big Brother Canada on Thursday night's episode on Slice.
As HOH this week, Paul Jackson nominated Anick and Andrew Gordon, but Andrew won the Power of Veto and took himself off the block. Paul was forced to pick a replacement and Ika found herself at risk of eviction. But she didn't need to worry - Anick, a 28-year-old Reiki Master, lost out in the 11-0 vote.
"I don't think the world was ready for the love revolution," says Anick Gervais. "My strategy was to go into the house not as myself. So I went in like an octopus and got blown out of the water."
With the first houseguest out the door, three potential houseguests moved in to the secret War Room inside the Big Brother Canada house. Allison White, Nate Sandri, and Scott Bosse vie for votes to become the #FINALHG. Fans of the show can register at BigBrotherCanada.ca to cast votes and earn points to impact the game.
The Big Brother Canada Side Show kicked off tonight with season one winner Jillian MacLaughlin joining Arisa Cox, Gary Levy, and Peter Brown to dish on her showmance status (going strong!), the new cast of characters, and predictions on what's in store for the season ahead.
Big Brother Canada airs three nights a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 9pm ET/PT on Slice. The Big Brother Canada Side Show airs Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT. Big Brother Canada After Dark airs seven days a week from 2am - 5am ET/11pm - 2am PT.
