Ann Hanham of the C100 to participate in BioContact Quebec
QUEBEC, Oct 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Nearly 300,000 Canadians currently work in Silicon Valley in high-tech fields. This new generation of Canadian executives and entrepreneurs, who are at the heart of company giants such as Apple, Cisco, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Oracle, united a year ago to form the C100. Created to support the Canadian technology entrepreneurship and investment, the C100 provide Canadian investors and promoters with a personal and direct access to industry giants and to hundreds of Canadian entrepreneurs who play a role of model and mentorship for them.
"Not only was it time for us to acknowledge the fact that we had "Canadian leaders" in the field of high-technology but also that, as a group, we had the opportunity to learn from each other and provide Canadian companies with an entire network of contacts" mentioned Mrs. Ann Hanham, member of the C100 organising committee. Besides, the C100 network will try to expand in the upcoming months by identifying the actors associated to the biotechnology and life science sector.
The organization relies on the public sector and private investment to pursue its mission. As well, the Canadian Consulate in San Francisco and the Canadian Bank of Development, but to name a few, are amongst their collaborators.
To find out more about the C100, please note that Mrs. Ann Hanham from Burrill & Co will participate in BioContact Quebec's conference on International Financing. This conference will take place on Wednesday, October 6th, at 2 p.m., in the Petit Frontenac Hall at the Château Frontenac.
