Ann Louise Vehovec named Chair of the Ontario Science Centre's Board of Trustees
TORONTO, March 1, 2018 /CNW/ - The Ontario Science Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Louise Vehovec as Chair of its Board of Trustees for a three-year term effective immediately. Ms. Vehovec joined the Board in February 2013 and was appointed Vice Chair in December that same year. Ms. Vehovec's Order-in-Council appointment followed a recruitment and review process supported by the Public Appointments Secretariat. She replaces outgoing Chair Brian Chu, who served two consecutive terms from December 2012 to December 2017.

In addition to being an enthusiastic champion of the Centre, she brings a wealth of experience and insight to the role," said Maurice Bitran, CEO and Chief Science Officer, Ontario Science Centre. "We are indebted to the outgoing Chair Brian Chu who steered the organization during a period of significant change."
As a seasoned senior executive in the banking sector, Ms. Vehovec has broad experience across business unit and enterprise strategy, brand management, and corporate and government finance. She joined Dominion Securities in Investment Banking in 1987 and has since held progressively senior positions within RBC. She has been the Head of Enterprise Strategy for RBC since 2010. Ms. Vehovec is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario (Ivey) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
