Survivor Premieres to Over 2.2 Million Viewers
Big Brother Finale Watched by 1.5 million Viewers

TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - It was another night of wins for Global, with the premiere of Survivor: Blood vs. Water raking in over 2.2 million viewers and 1.5 million viewers tuning in for the finale of Big Brother. Global won the night across all key demos, doubling City TV's primetime average and beating CTV by 42%.
Over 2.2 million viewers tuned into Global to catch the premiere episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water which kicked off with one of the most exciting premieres in franchise history. Survivor, now in its 27th season, was the country's top show of the night. The monster hit and longest running reality franchise continues to grow. The 27th season premiere saw an audience increase of 5% over season 26.
Survivor fans stayed glued to their televisions to watch the tribes divided into series' alumni vs. their loved ones, and the return of Redemption Island, where eliminated players will compete for a second chance to return to the game.
DATA HIGHLIGHTS
- Survivor was the #1 program of the night both for 2+ and A18-49, nationally
- Over 1 million viewers tuned into Survivor's season premiere (A18-49)
- The finale of Big Brother captured 819,000 viewers (A18-49)

Survivor airs Wednesdays - 8pm ET/PT on Global.
Global is home to the biggest premieres of the Fall. Next week, viewers can watch the series premiere of The Blacklist, The Michael J. Fox Show and We Are Men, along with the return of fan-favourites NCIS, NICIS: LA, Elementary, Chicago Fire, Glee, Hawaii Five-0, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Parenthood and The Good Wife.
