TORONTO, July 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Aon Hewitt, the global human resource solutions business of Aon plc (NYSE:AON), announces today that Deron Waldock has been appointed Senior Vice President of the Canadian Legal Consulting Practice for Aon Hewitt Canada. In this role, Mr. Waldock will be responsible for shaping the vision and leading the organization's legal consulting practice to ultimately provide clients with legal support and guidance on all their employee benefit needs.

Mr. Waldock is recognized by Chambers Global as one of the leading pension and benefits lawyers in Canada. He has advised and assisted Canadian and U.S. clients on all legal issues relating to pension, employee benefits, compensation and incentive plans, including implementation, wind-up, administration and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best-practices, design, implementation and governance matters.
He has also provided expertise and led negotiations on pension, employee benefit, compensation and human resources matters in the context of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate reorganizations as well as in the context of corporate financing transactions and insolvency proceedings.
A frequently published author, Mr. Waldock also contributes to Canadian and international professional organizations as a member of the Pension and Benefits Section of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Pension & Benefits Institute and the International Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association. Professionally, Mr. Waldock is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Law Society of Alberta.
