Application Now Open for Scholarships to Support Canada's Innovative Leaders through The Directors College
TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2017 /CNW/ - The Directors College today announced applications are open for scholarships that will support applicants' journey to become an inspiring and impactful Canadian business leader and board member.
There are three scholarships in total:
- The AFOA Canada Indigenous Leadership Scholarship
- The Board Diversity Scholarship
- The NATIONAL Public Relations Emerging Leader Scholarship
Candidates will be considered for every scholarship for which they select in their application and one scholarship will be awarded to an individual. Submission for scholarships is open from September 19 to November 15, 2017.
"We know the importance of having prepared and insightful directors who have the courage to ask important questions and the ability to collaborate in the boardroom," says Dr. Chris Anstead, Managing Director, The Directors College. "We welcome applicants who are forward thinking, a change agent in their own right, and willing to tackle a broad range of problems that modern boards face every day."
All scholarships seek candidates with experience in but not exclusive to: executive, leadership or governance roles, including both employment and volunteer positions, and demonstrated leadership in specific governance areas.
The Chartered Director (C.Dir.) program is a unique Directors Education Program that raises the bar for professional standards and the dynamic relationship between corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.
