OTTAWA, March 14, 2017 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Saunders as President and Chief Executive Officer of the the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) for a one-year interim term.
Mr. Saunders holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Business with a concentration in Human Resources from Barry University. He has been the Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer at CATSA since 2008. From 1980 to 2008, he occupied different management positions with growing responsibilities at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
The Government of Canada will soon launch a public selection process for a permanent President and Chief Executive Officer. Further details on this process will be found at www.appointments.gc.ca.
