Appointment to the Québec Port Authority - Three-year mandate for Ms. Marie-Soleil Tremblay Français
OTTAWA, Feb. 11, 2015 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced the appointment of Ms. Marie-Soleil Tremblay of Québec to the board of directors of the Québec Port Authority for a term of three years.
Ms. Tremblay is an associate professor at École nationale d'administration publique in the city of Québec, where she teaches accounting at the Master's level. Over the last three years, Ms. Tremblay has published ten research articles on auditing and governance in major specialized journals. For ten years prior to her current position, she was a lecturer at Université Laval, where she taught graduate courses in auditing and an undergraduate course in accounting.
Between 1994 and 2007, she worked as an external auditor at Samson Bélair Deloitte & Touche, then joined the Quebec Auditor General's office, and later was an internal auditor at La Financière agricole du Québec.
Ms. Tremblay is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and she holds a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting from Université Laval. She is a member of several industry associations, including the Canadian Academic Accounting Association and l'Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, and has won numerous academic awards.
