A new mandate for Melanie Bell Hughes
OTTAWA, Feb. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced the appointment of Ms. Melanie Bell Hughes to the board of directors of the Saint John Port Authority until December 2016.
Since 1995, Ms. Bell Hughes has been owner and vice-president of Hughes Communications Inc., in Saint John, New Brunswick, handling marketing and advertising for corporate clients. Previously, she worked six years at NBTel as a promotions coordinator and a sales representative.
Ms. Bell Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Brunswick. She is a board member of the Rocmaura Foundation and also serves her community in the Rocmaura Family Council, and the Saint John Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
