First term for Nicole Diamond-Gélinas
OTTAWA, Nov. 21, 2014 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced the appointment of Nicole Diamond-Gélinas to the board of directors of the Trois-Rivières Port Authority for a three-year term.
Ms. Diamond-Gélinas has worked in management for over 35 years. She is president of two manufacturing companies: Aspasie Inc., since 1976, and Plastifil Inc., since 1998. She has also been head of two automobile dealerships since 2002.
She has worked with a number of businesses and not-for-profit organizations in Trois-Rivières and is a member of four boards of directors: Centre de santé et de services sociaux de Trois-Rivières (since 2011), Société des Alcools du Québec (since 2011), Fondation régionale pour la santé de Trois-Rivières (since 2005) and National Bank Life Insurance (since 2004).
Ms. Diamond-Gélinas holds a bachelor's in education and an administrative degree from Université Laval in Quebec City. She also holds a certificate from Collège des Administrateurs de Sociétés, which is affiliated to Université Laval.
