Appointments to The Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc.: More talent and experience appointed to the Board of Directors Français
MONTREAL, June 22, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, today announced the appointment of Catherine Lavoie, Dale Williams, and Sylvain Villiard to the Board of Directors of The Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc. for a three-year term, following an open, transparent, and merit-based selection process.
Catherine Lavoie is an engineer with 25 years of high-level experience with concrete and asphalt companies and associations. She is currently the President and CEO of the Centre d'expertise et de recherche en infrastructures urbaines (CERIU). She coordinates all activities of the urban infrastructure expertise and research centre. The non-profit organization helps municipalities to rehabilitate their infrastructure and to ensure its sustainability. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Sylvain Villiard is an experienced public administration manager and lawyer. He previously served as Associate Executive Director of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM). As a Partner of GP Gouvernance Plus, he helps clients and suppliers with project planning and management. His appointment is effective immediately.
Dale Williams has extensive experience in transportation management, sales and marketing. She has worked with GATX Rail Canada for several years first as Sales Director, and then Vice President, Canadian Regional Sales. She is also a member of the Board of Directors. In this capacity, she is responsible for commercial relations with the Canadian National Railway Company (CN), Canadian Pacific (CP), and other Canadian rail companies. Her appointment will be effective December 18, 2017.
