ARIZONA LOTTERY AWARDS NEW CONTRACTS FOR INSTANT TAB TICKET PRINTING,
WAREHOUSING, AND DISTRIBUTION SERVICES TO POLLARD BANKNOTE

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA, Nov. 16 /CNW/ - Pollard Banknote is pleased to announce that it has signed a new five-year agreement with the Arizona Lottery for the printing and production of pull tab (instant tab) tickets. As well, following a recent competitive procurement, the company has been awarded a two-year contract for instant tab ticket warehouse and distribution services, with three one-year extensions possible at the Lottery's option.

An entirely new product line for the Arizona Lottery, instant tab tickets will be produced at Pollard Banknote's American Games facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and will be distributed from the company's recently established warehouse in Tempe, Arizona. Pollard Banknote and the Arizona Lottery expect to have hundreds of charitable lottery retailers selling this new product by the new year.

Pollard Banknote commenced its long-standing partnership with the Arizona Lottery in 1998, supplying instant ticket printing and production services. Pollard Banknote has since collaborated with the Lottery to keep its Crossword and Bingo categories fresh and relevant to Arizona players. These two games—which employ Pollard Banknote's patented translucent marketing system—comprised 37% of the Arizona Lottery's weekly instant sales in fiscal year 2010. The Lottery has also enjoyed success with a variety of other product offerings from Pollard Banknote, including the company's exclusive Scratch FX^® games.

The Arizona Lottery achieved record-breaking sales of $551 million in fiscal year 2010. As a result, beneficiaries received more than $141 million. These dollars fund a variety of public projects and programs in cities and towns across the state involving transportation, health care, economic development, education, and wildlife preservation.
