arrive alive Partners With Transit for Awareness Blitz
TORONTO, Aug. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Beginning at 07:00 August 1st, arrive alive DRIVE SOBER® will operate 'Transit Day' in an effort to save lives on our roads. Throughout the morning rush hour, 7,500+ TTC riders will receive information about sober driving at the Yonge and Bloor station. http://www.ttc.ca/Riding_the_TTC/Events/Special_events.jsp
arrive alive DRIVE SOBER will continue their awareness efforts that same day in partnership with GO Transit to reach another 7,500+ riders during the afternoon rush hour.
A further 54,000 Arrive Alive Passports are being shared across Ontario via all The Beer Stores beginning August 1st. The Beer Store, Ontario's Ministry of Transportation, Smart Serve Ontario and CAASCO are key supporters of arrive alive DRIVE SOBER.
To date, arrive alive DRIVE SOBER has attended 22 of the 25 events scheduled as part of the #arrivealive25 road trip.
Other recent events include several golf tournaments and an awareness day at McDonald's in Midland, Ontario. At each event information about safe and sober driving is distributed in the form of passports and other programming. Upcoming events include and awareness day with the OPP at Highway 400 leading into the high risk August long weekend.
