TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Following back-to-back weeks of heroic ratings on CTV, one of the fall season's most talked-about new series, ARROW, takes aim on a one time only special day and time tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV before being promoted to its new and permanent home on CTV, Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Nov. 14. Canada's #1 new series of the fall season for younger women drew an impressive 1.7 million viewers last Wednesday in a surprising cliffhanger episode.
"Heading into the fall television season as one of the most-buzzed about new series, ARROW has been right on target with gripping episodes week-after-week," said Phil King, President, CTV Programming and Sports. "With a charming lead, a talented ensemble cast and staff of writers, along with the introduction of fan favourite DC comic characters, viewers can look forward to all-new episodes in its new CTV timeslot."
Tomorrow night's ARROW, entitled "Damaged" (Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV), follows up on the suspense from Wednesday night's cliffhanger episode, as Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne) arrests Oliver (Stephen Amell) for murder. Oliver tells his mother Moira (Susanna Thompson) the only lawyer he'll allow to represent him is his ex-girlfriend Laurel (Katie Cassidy), who takes the case despite the fact that it puts her at odds with her father. When Oliver offers to take a polygraph in front of Detective Lance, things get tense as Lance triggers flashbacks of Oliver's time on the island.
In the new episode of ARROW entitled "Legacies" debuting in its new timeslot, Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, a gang of bank robbers hits a local bank and wounds an off-duty police officer during a heist. Diggle (David Ramsey) tells Oliver (Stephen Amell) he needs to deviate from his father's list and start helping the citizens of Starling City. Meanwhile, Tommy (Colin Donnell) asks Thea (Willa Holland) for relationship advice, but things get awkward when she realizes he was asking about Laurel (Katie Cassidy). Moira (Susanna Thompson) confronts Oliver about all of his recent disappearances in the middle of family functions. Viewers can also look forward to the introduction of the DC comic character Firefly, played by Andrew Dunbar (STARGATE UNIVERSE, BATTLESTAR GALLATICA), as reported by EW.com. Also joining the series is the DC comic character the Huntress, played by Jessica De Gouw (THE MYSTERY OF A HANSOM CAB), also reported by EW.com. The Huntress will appear in the show's 8th episode while Firefly will appear in the show's 10th, joining DC characters Deadshot (Michael Rowe; Sleepy Stories), China White (Kelly Hu; The Scorpion, X2), and Deathstroke (Slade Wilson; SMALLVILLE).
Fans of genre programming and well-developed abs can get their fanboy fix with a new ARROW digital comic. A new page will be released in advance of each week's episode at CTV.ca/Arrow/Comics culminating in a full 22-page comic book at the end of the season.
ARROW also airs Fridays at 7 p.m. ET on MuchMusic. Viewers can catch up on full episodes of ARROW across CTV's digital platforms following its television broadcast on CTV.ca, the CTV App, the CTV Mobile channel, and through video on demand partners.
