Art Mesher To Publish "3V's - Part Two" 20 Years After First Publication
TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Livingston International, a leading trade services provider of customs brokerage, freight forwarding, global trade management and consulting services, is pleased to announce that Art Mesher, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of its Board, in an exclusive to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), is publishing "3V's Part Two, Darwin's Law and the X Factors". In addition to publishing the paper, Mr. Mesher will be participating in a fireside chat during the Edge 2018 Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition to discuss its contents.
"Art published the initial 3V's paper 20 years ago, which became an institutional framework for our industry. CSCMP recognized the work as one of the most influential writings of the organization's 50-year history," said Rick Blasgen, President and CEO of CSCMP. "In an exclusive to CSCMP, Art has released '3V's - Part Two' and we are grateful for this contribution."
"Today we have an 'X' exponential proliferation of the microprocessors; an 'X' exponential rate of speed and ubiquity of wireless networks; and, an 'X' exponential increase of connected devices. Today's 'always on and always connected' has created a 'nowhere to run and nowhere to hide' environment," said Mr. Mesher. "This Big Data, machine learning, AI, IOT, Blockchain-enabled environment is creating an 'X' factorial increase in transparency and speed that is redefining business relationships and supporting systems.
"This collision, dubbed the X Factors, is causing both enormous disruption and opportunity as old business models are sunset and new business models dawn a new day. Using the 3V's framework, this session will identify the X Factors that will determine which organizations will thrive or die as the exponential rate of change will have such velocity that the threat of processes, systems and companies becoming extinct will be real."
About the Session and the 3V's Paper
The fireside chat will be led by renowned analyst Adrian Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez will interview Mr. Mesher, a Distinguished Service Award Winner. Also participating in the discussion will be Phil Ruotolo, Director of Merchandising Solutions Customization at Procter and Gamble.
The session takes place Tuesday October 2, 2018 at 10:30 am at CSCMP's Edge 2018 Conference & Exhibition being held at The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
