As part of the celebrations for Montréal's 375th anniversary - Montréal International takes action to promote Montréal's vivacity Français
MONTRÉAL, Dec. 11, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - As festivities for Montréal's 375th anniversary gear up, Montréal International (MI) is partnering with the Society for the Celebration of Montréal's 375th Anniversary, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal (BTMM) and Tourisme Montréal (TM) to invite everyone who loves Montréal, no matter where they are from, to join us in celebrating the city's vivacity by proclaiming loud and strong, "VIVEMONTRÉAL!"
The product of an original, inspiring collaboration among the four partners, VIVEMONTRÉAL and its English pendant ALIVEMONTRÉAL are a rallying cry and a signature intended to spur a new grassroots movement of pride and engagement toward Montréal.
"The theme of the 375th anniversary festivities positions Montréal as an attractive metropolis, a human-scale one, that offers not only the finest in culture, arts and dining, but is also both economically and creatively vibrant, with world-class attributes," declared Louis Arseneault, Vice-President of Talent Attraction, Promotion and Communications for Montréal International. "This wellspring of enthusiasm and energy will unify our strengths and rally all Montréalers at heart around a shared ambition to spotlight Montréal's vivacity on the global stage," he added.
Messages supporting VIVEMONTRÉAL and ALIVEMONTRÉAL will be shared through all the Society's communications channels as well as those of its partners.
As part of the celebrations, Montréal International is also inviting everyone who is passionate about Greater Montréal to actively lend a hand as ambassadors with Contact MTL in spreading the word and garnering international recognition for our city's achievements. "With increasing competition among the world's major cities, a metropolis' ability to attract foreign investment, international organizations, strategic talent, international students and conventions is largely determined by its image," added Mr. Arseneault.
