ASC alleges Edmonton resident Robert Carl Stewart and Tamarisk Energy Corp. breached Alberta securities laws
CALGARY, Nov. 30, 2017 /CNW/ - The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has issued a Notice of Hearing alleging that Edmonton resident Robert Carl Stewart and his company Tamarisk Energy Corp. (Tamarisk) engaged in illegal distributions, provided misleading information to the ASC by filing false reports of exempt distribution, and made prohibited representations to investors as to listing the securities of Tamarisk on an exchange. Tamarisk was in the business of pursuing oil and gas interests in the United States.
The allegations have not been proven.
An appearance to set a date for a hearing will be held on January 11, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in the ASC Hearing Room on the 5th floor, 250 – 5 Street SW, Calgary, Alberta.
