ASC alleges former Edmonton resident Shane Courtney Ward breached Alberta securities laws
CALGARY, AB, June 5, 2020 /CNW/ - The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has issued a Notice of Hearing alleging that Shane Courtney Ward (Ward) engaged in illegal distributions, made misrepresentations to investors and perpetrated a fraud by misappropriating investor funds for personal use and/or other unauthorized uses.
According to the Notice of Hearing, Ward, operating under the trade name Engineered Wealth, raised $819,000 from investors and committed the alleged breaches between February 2011 and April 2018.
The allegations have not been proven.
An appearance to set a date for a hearing will be held on July 8, 2020 at 2 p.m.
