ASC Terminates Registration of Madison Peak Securities Ltd.
CALGARY, April 22, 2015 /CNW/ - The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has terminated the registration of Madison Peak Securities Ltd. as an exempt market dealer. The termination is effective immediately.
ASC staff conducted a review of Madison Peak Securities' compliance with Alberta securities laws for the period of December 2, 2010 to December 31, 2014. The findings demonstrated that Madison Peak Securities failed to carry out its obligations under Alberta securities laws and failed to maintain its ongoing fitness requirements for registration pursuant to Alberta securities laws.
Based on the findings of the compliance review pursuant to section 76.1(1) of the Securities Act (Alberta) (Act), the ASC concluded that it is in the public interest to immediately terminate the registration of Madison Peak Securities as an Exempt Market Dealer.
