Astral Radio's tenth Caring for Kids Radiothon raises $1,460,000 for The Children's Young Patients Français
MONTREAL, May 31, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation and radio stations CJAD 800, CHOM 97 7, and Virgin Radio 96, are proud to announce that Astral Radio's tenth edition of the Caring for Kids Radiothon raised an outstanding $1,460,000 for the Montreal Children's Hospital.
Live from The Children's, more than thirty patients and their families courageously shared how the Hospital's professionals saved their lives.
Responding to the call of their favourite hosts, thousands of listeners joined the Circle of Hugs with a monthly donation of $20. The final result clearly demonstrates their generosity. In 10 years, more than $17.5 million has been raised for The Children's thanks to CJAD 800, CHOM 97 7 and Virgin Radio 96.
All funds raised will go towards meeting the most urgent needs of the Hospital, which include medical and surgical equipment and funding for innovative projects.
