A.T. Ferrell celebrates 143rd anniversary of manufacturing in America
BLUFFTON, IN, Aug. 14, 2012 /CNW/ - An American manufacturer is celebrating an unconventional anniversary this year - its 143rd.
Founded in 1869, the A.T. Ferrell Company sees 2012 as an opportunity to celebrate its ongoing commitment to American-made manufacturing, its history in producing quality food and agricultural equipment, and its long-standing loyalty to customer service that the Company was founded on 143 years ago.
"This is a great year to celebrate. We didn't want to wait until a specific milestone to celebrate our history," says Steve Stuller, President of A.T. Ferrell Company. "We're proud of our past and have a lot to look forward to in our future."
Over the past 143 years, A.T. Ferrell Company has evolved from a small seed cleaning business to become one of the most respected and reliable names in the agriculture and food processing industries. "We are always looking for new engineering techniques so that we can continue to deliver the quality products our customers have relied on for more than a century," says Stuller.
Originally founded by Civil War Captain John E. Smith, the Company was purchased by Albert T. Ferrell in 1891 with a goal of building better seed cleaning equipment to meet the needs of his customers.
Today, A.T. Ferrell continues that legacy through its divisions - Ferrell-Ross is a leader in manufacturing feed and food milling equipment; Mix-Mill and Farmatic are reputable names in feed processing and feed mixing; and Clipper - the seed and grain cleaner brand that started the company - has evolved to become one of the most trusted brands in seed cleaning.
"A.T. Ferrell is a true American manufacturing success story," says Stuller. "We live our motto every day to deliver products that are engineered without compromise to customers around the world. It's what we were founded on, and it's how we will succeed in the future."
