ATB Financial steps up in southern Alberta flood relief

CALGARY, June 21, 2013 /CNW/ - We at ATB Financial are overwhelmed by the power and scale of the disaster unfolding in southern Alberta, and by the immediate and unconditional response of Albertans.

"When something like this happens, Albertans are of one voice and they are asking one thing," says ATB Financial President and CEO Dave Mowat. "How can I help?"

ATB Financial is joining the effort on several fronts, including:

• Donating $100,000 to the Red Cross to support and comfort Albertans affected by the floods,
• Encouraging everyone to donate to the Red Cross online, and
• Accepting donations at any ATB branch across the province (Canadian Red Cross Alberta Relief Fund). One hundred per cent of all donations will go to the Red Cross.

"We salute everyone who has answered the call to help their neighbours," says Mowat. "We're inspired to stand with them."
