Atlantic Trust expands Boston team with senior hires in wealth strategies and business development
Firm continues to attract top talent with addition of Josh Miller and Mark Kane, reflecting its strong growth momentum.
BOSTON, Dec. 17, 2014 /CNW/ - Atlantic Trust, the U.S. private wealth management division of CIBC (NYSE: CM) (TSX: CM), today announced that Josh Miller and Mark Kane have joined the firm's Boston office as managing director and senior wealth strategist, and senior vice president and business development officer, respectively. Miller and Kane joined on December 15.

Miller brings more than 11 years of industry experience, which includes counseling high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, closely held business owners and multinationals on sophisticated estate plan designs and strategies. He works directly with clients and their advisors to develop and implement charitable, estate and wealth transfer and management planning as part of Atlantic Trust's integrated wealth management process. Prior to joining the firm, Josh was a senior relationship manager and wealth strategist for BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where he worked with business owners and high-net-worth individuals throughout the country advising those individuals and their families on investment management and various areas of wealth planning. Previously, he practiced at the law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart. Josh received his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York at Oswego. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. He serves on several boards including the Boston Estate Planning Council, the Arts & Business Council of Boston, and the Rozalia Project for a Clean Ocean.
In his role, Kane will work to foster new relationships with high-net-worth clients and to strengthen associations with key intermediaries in the northeast region. Previously, Mark was a Vice President at Bernstein Global Wealth Management where he provided asset allocation and wealth planning advice to high net worth individuals and families along with their trusts, estates, foundations, and endowments. Prior to Bernstein, Mark was a senior executive with the Xerox Corporation in New England. His role included human resource, strategic, and profit and loss responsibility across the largest business unit in New England. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Providence College and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College. Mark is on the Board of the Shelter Harbor Conservation Society and the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning.
