ATN brings Live Gurbani from Dasmesh Darbar - Surrey B.C.
TORONTO, March 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN) (TSX-SAT), Canada's largest South Asian Broadcaster, is pleased to announce that it will bring LIVE telecast of Gurbani (Sikh Prayers) from Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar – Surrey, one of the largest Gurdwaras (Sikh Temple) in British Columbia.
The Live telecast started this Sunday with a special 2 hour programme on two of ATNs Punjabi language stations i.e ATN MH1 Punjabi & ATN GET Punjabi. The regular Gurbani discourses will continue on both channels every Sunday to Friday starting 20:00 hrs ET / 17:00 hrs PT.
Gurbani is the sacred literature of the Sikhs and is of great spiritual importance to the large Sikh community in Canada. ATN was the first broadcaster in Canada to bring Live Gurbani and currently offers Live coverage from Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Malton Ontario, Ontario Khalsa Darbar, Mississauga Ontario and now Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar – Surrey B.C.
Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar was formed in 1998 and since has continuously held programmes to benefit and promote the Sikh way of Life by providing regular Gurudwara programmes, Punjabi/Gurmukhi language classes for children and programmes in Sikh History.
