AT&T Supports Student-Led Food Drive Effort in Canada
TORONTO, Oct. 31, 2012 /CNW/ - AT&T* has awarded a contribution of $25,000 to Meal Exchange, a Canadian national youth-driven charity that engages, educates and mobilizes youth to work with their communities across Canada to alleviate hunger locally and achieve food security.
The AT&T contribution was officially presented to Meal Exchange at its University of Toronto chapter's annual Trick or Eat® event by David Aspinall, Canada Sales Center Vice President, AT&T Business Solutions.
- Trick or Eat® is an important nationwide campaign that encourages Canadian youth to raise money, go door-to-door to collect non-perishable food items and raise awareness of hunger in the community.
- Building on a longstanding support with the student-led charity, AT&T and the AT&T Foundation have proudly supported Meal Exchange since 2010.
- In addition, AT&T in Canada has donated funds to enhance Meal Exchange's education initiatives across student campuses in Canada and to help the organization raise awareness of existing hunger issues.
