Attorney General Madeleine Meilleur to speak at PBLO and Holland Bloorview anniversary reception and awards event celebrating medical-legal partnerships between Ontario's pro bono lawyers and its children's hospitals
TORONTO, Nov. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - At a celebration event later this week, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and Pro Bono Law Ontario will welcome The Honourable Madeleine Meilleur, Attorney General for Ontario to the hospital to mark the one-year anniversary of their joint effort to embed free legal services within the clinical setting.
The event will highlight the value of integrating access to justice with other frontline and social service programs and recognize the lawyers who donate their time to help families address health-harming legal problems.
Participants will hear from clinicians and families about the impact of PBLO at Holland Bloorview on their lives and a special announcement from The Atkinson Foundation about medical-legal partnerships in Ontario.
