Doug Downey, MPP for Barrie Springwater Oro-Medonte Made the Official Proclamation at Boots and Hearts Music Festival Opening Night
ORO-MEDONTE, ON, Aug. 9, 2018 /CNW/ - Tonight, Doug Downey, MPP for Bruce Springwater Oro-Medonte proclaimed the weekend of August 9 – 12, 2018 as "Boots & Hearts Weekend", in the County of Simcoe.
Burl's Creek Event Grounds, venue for Boots and Hearts Music Festival, is renowned for hosting and producing safe, responsible and experiential events. Over the last four years, the development of the grounds has led to the property becoming the largest outdoor music venue in Canada and the single largest privately-funded entertainment project completed in Ontario in 30 years. With the opening of Boots and Hearts Music Festival, the official proclamation is the perfect kick-off to the four-day festival welcoming over 40 established and rising country artists and over 40,000 fans to the County of Simcoe.
"We are grateful and honoured to receive this proclamation from MPP Doug Downey," said Eva Dunford, Boots and Hearts Co-Founder. "As we enter our seventh year tonight, we look forward to welcoming our neighbours, County of Simcoe community and country music fans from across North America to our beautiful Burl's Creek Event Grounds for another exceptional year of music and entertainment.
