Austin Mahone to Perform New Single "Mmm Yeah" at The Next Star: SuperGroup Live Season Finale on YTV, Sunday, April 13 at 7 p.m. ET/PT

Fans vote to crown winning group on supergroup.ytv.com beginning April 1

TORONTO, March 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Corus Entertainment's YTV is excited to announce that pop sensation Austin Mahone will perform at the live finale of The Next Star: SuperGroup on April 13 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Filmed in front of a live studio audience at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the finale will reveal which group Canada has voted to become the next mega boy or girl group the likes of One Direction or Fifth Harmony.

The finale will showcase the two remaining groups facing off as they perform covers and original songs as well as back-to-back songs by special guest performer Austin Mahone, including his brand new single "Mmm Yeah" featuring Pitbull. The announcement of the SuperGroup at the end of the finale will mark the beginning of an exciting pop career for the winning group. They will record two original songs to be available on iTunes, and receive an exclusive management deal with 21 Entertainment, which manages the careers of musical artists such as Fefe Dobson, JoJo and Kreesha Turner.

Viewers will be able to vote for the winning group on supergroup.ytv.com beginning April 1 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, following the fourth episode, in which the final two groups are revealed. Voting will close at 7 p.m. ET on April 13 the night of the live finale telecast, when the winning group will be announced.
