Avcorp announces appointment of Chief Executive Officer for its group of companies
VANCOUVER, Oct. 2, 2014 /CNW/ - Avcorp Industries Inc. (TSX: AVP) (the "Company" or "Avcorp") The Board of Directors of Avcorp is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter George as Chief Executive Officer, having responsibility for the overall performance of the Avcorp group of companies, including Avcorp Industries in Delta, British Columbia and Comtek Advanced Structures in Burlington, Ontario ("Comtek"). Mr. George's appointment is effective immediately.
Mr. George was appointed to the Board of the Company on July 10, 2014.
Mr. George has a strong background in both turnaround and growth situations. He has worked closely with major OEM's in North America, Europe and Asia, and has held various senior operating leadership positions, most recently as COO at Primus international.
Mark van Rooij will continue in his role as Board member and CEO and President of Avcorp Industries in Delta and will report directly to Mr. George, as will Brent Collver in his role as President of Comtek.
