Avigilon Welcomes Pradeep Khosla to Board of Directors
Avigilon adds World-Renowned Engineer and University Chancellor to its Board of Directors
VANCOUVER, CANADA, January 21, 2016 /CNW/ - Avigilon Corporation ("Avigilon") (TSX:AVO), trusted provider of business intelligence and security solutions, today announced the appointment of University of California, San Diego Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla to its Board of Directors.
Chancellor Khosla is an internationally renowned researcher, author, and educator with more than 30 years' experience in the fields of engineering and computer science. Chancellor Khosla previously served as Carnegie Mellon's Dean of the College of Engineering. Chancellor Khosla has also managed advanced research and development projects for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Among his other accomplishments, Chancellor Khosla has served as a member of numerous advisory boards, including the Council of Deans of the Aeronautics Advisory Committee (NASA), the National Research Council Board on Manufacturing and Engineering Design, the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Innovation, and has worked with several high tech companies.
