Award-winning Kivuto Solutions Hiring Practices Outlined in National Human Resources Publication
OTTAWA, April 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The award-winning hiring practices of Kivuto Solutions Inc., the global leader in complex digital distribution, were recently outlined in Canadian HR Reporter, Canada's guide to human resources management.
In the current issue of the publication, Janet Robertson, Kivuto's Human Resources Consultant, explains the hiring philosophy that led to the Employer Excellence Award it received last month for outstanding achievement in the recruitment of skilled immigrants in Ottawa. Presented by Hire Immigrants Ottawa (HIO) and the Employer Council of Champions (ECC) at the ECC Summit in March, the annual award recognizes workplaces in the Ottawa area that demonstrate ongoing efforts to attract and retain talented immigrants and new Canadians for their workforces.
In 2012, Kivuto Solutions hired 16 internationally-trained IT professionals. These employees provide the company with cross-cultural expertise and language skills that help Kivuto bridge cultural gaps in global markets for its worldwide digital distribution solutions.
"We're a global business working in a global industry, so we have customers in 194 countries and we support customers in 14 languages," said Janet Robertson. "So our focus has always been on hiring the best talent to fit the business and evaluating candidates based on their skills and education. It is good business for us and it just makes sense."
Janet Robertson goes on to explain the Kivuto Solutions recruitment guidelines that enable the hiring of immigrants, and how the company uses external resources to support these efforts, such as the International Talent Acquisition Centre (In-TAC).
