Awards Ceremony Highlights Unique Fire Safety Contributions
TORONTO, June 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Eighteen Fire Safety Awards and one Fire Marshal's Award for Excellence in Fire Safety were handed out to recipients today by the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council. It was part of the annual awards ceremony to recognize individuals and organizations in Ontario communities to reduce fires, fire injuries and deaths.
"The Fire Safety Awards go to the heart of enhancing public safety in our communities," said Tadeusz (Ted) Wieclawek, Fire Marshal and Chief, Emergency Management and Chair of the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council. "They validate the work our fire service does to educate communities about what to do in a fire, how to minimize risks and property damage and how lives can be saved."
