VANCOUVER, Jan. 10, 2019 /CNW/ - Axion Ventures Inc. ("Axion Ventures" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: AXV; OTCQX: AXNVF) announces that it has changed its auditor from BDO Limited (the "Former Auditor") to KPMG LLP (the "Successor Auditor") effective January 8, 2019. At the request of the Company, the Former Auditor resigned as auditor of the Company and the board of directors of the Company appointed the Successor Auditor as the new auditor until the next Annual General Meeting of the Company.
"We extend our thanks to BDO for the quality of expertise and the urgency and attention they provided Axion with our 2018 financial statement filings; however, we continued a selection process in the second half of 2018 and concluded that KPMG is best positioned to meet our future needs." said John Todd Bonner, CEO and Chairman of the Company.
There are no "disagreements" or "unresolved issues" (as those terms are defined in National Instrument 51-102 Continuous Disclosure Obligations ("NI 51-102")) in connection with the change of auditor.
