AXOR and the Directeur général des élections reach an agreement

MONTREAL, Aug. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - AXOR and the Directeur général des élections du Québec (DGEQ) have come to an agreement in the matter of contributions given to political parties (ADQ, PLQ and PQ) between 2006 and 2008.

Despite the ambiguity of the Act to govern the financing of political parties - which is recognized by the wording of the bill 78 currently before the National Assembly - AXOR felt it was in its best interest not to engage in a long legal debate with the DGEQ.

The company also wishes to point out that, since last March, it has collaborated with the DGE in good faith, and has shown openness and transparency throughout the process.

As the matter is now closed, AXOR will make no further comment.
