Downtown Toronto aquarium launches class sponsorship program for 2016-2017
school year
TORONTO, Sept. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - Give the kids something to cheer about this September with Ripley Aquarium of Canada's Sea Scholars program.
Teachers from across the GTA are being invited to submit applications for this popular program, which allows classes of up to 35 students to visit the Aquarium for free.
In order to qualify, teachers must submit an essay, art project or other presentation that demonstrates why their class should be selected to participate in the Sea Scholars program. Based on eligibility requirements including a minimum financial need, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada will select up to 20 classes (minimum 10 students, maximum 35 students) to receive sponsorship.
Selected classes will enjoy complimentary admission to the Aquarium, a free behind the scenes tour and a $250 transportation bursary to be used towards busing costs.
Deadline for submissions is September 30th, 2016 and all schools will be notified by email on or before October 15th, 2016.
