Bank note event: Bank of Canada Governor Stephen S. Poloz and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance Ginette Petitpas Taylor Français
OTTAWA, May 30, 2017 /CNW/ - On Thursday, 1 June 2017, Governor Stephen S. Poloz and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance Ginette Petitpas Taylor will take part in photo opportunities to mark the entry into circulation of the Canada 150 commemorative bank note.
All media must register with the Bank in advance to attend either the Ottawa photo ops or the regional events. To register, please contact Media Relations by noon (ET) on Wednesday, 31 May at 613-782-8782 or [email protected].
Broadcast camera operators and still photographers will be allotted space on a first-come, first-served basis, through advance registration, and are required to arrive by 8:30 (ET).
Before the photo ops, members of the media will have an opportunity to purchase a $10 commemorative bank note.

Weather permitting, there will be a photo opportunity outside the Bank of Canada's head office, in front of the seven-storey banner showcasing the commemorative bank note. Following that, a second photo op will be will be held with Governor Poloz and Ms. Petitpas Taylor at a nearby store. |
Before the event, commemorative bank notes will be available on-site for purchase by camerapersons and still photographers in attendance (limit: one note per person). Only cash purchases will be accepted. There will be no provisions for debit or credit transactions. |

Regional representatives of the Bank of Canada will be available across the country to answer questions. Members of the media will also have the opportunity to purchase one commemorative bank note. |
