Bank note event: Bank of Canada issues $10 bank note celebrating the 150th anniversary of Confederation Français
OTTAWA, May 30, 2017 /CNW/ - On Thursday, 1 June 2017, the Bank of Canada will hold an event to mark the entry into circulation of the Canada 150 commemorative bank note.

Ted Mieszkalski, Regional Director (Currency) for the Prairies Region for the Bank of Canada will be available to answer questions about the theme, graphic elements and security features of the commemorative note. |
| Descendants of Senator James Gladstone, one of the four people portrayed on the Canada 150 note, will also be available for interviews after the event. |

Commemorative bank notes will be available on-site for purchase by members of the media in attendance (limit: one note per person). Only cash purchases will be accepted. There will be no provisions for debit or credit transactions. |
