Bayshore HealthCare Launches Partnership with Pallium Canada for Hospice Palliative Care Education
Agreement will raise sector's capacity with 20 Bayshore clinicians set to become master facilitators
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - Bayshore HealthCare, Canada's largest provider of community health care services, is entering into a partnership with the Pallium Canada to expand the capacity to educate healthcare professionals in palliative care. The partnership will allow Bayshore to provide standardized education and expertise in hospice palliative in Canada. Graduates will be qualified to educate other professionals across the country as Pallium-certified Bayshore LEAP facilitators

Pallium will educate 20 Bayshore clinicians who, once they have completed their courses, will be master facilitators qualified to teach Pallium's Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative and End-of-Life Care (LEAP). The LEAP program is Mainpro-C accredited by the College of Family Physicians Canada.
