Partnership will launch The Seniors' Care Assistance Program™ to assist OTIP's retiree health plan members in gaining access to senior care and support services
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 8, 2015 /CNW/ - Bayshore HealthCare Ltd. is pleased to announce their partnership with OTIP (Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan). Just in time for Senior's Month, the partnership will allow Bayshore HealthCare to provide assistance to OTIP's retiree health plan members* in gaining access to senior care and support services to ensure they better understand care options for themselves and their immediate families.
"The Canadian health care system can be very difficult to navigate, with many seniors and families unaware of the vast majority of services and resources available to them," says Kevin Webster, Managing Director, Bayshore HealthCare. "Partnering with OTIP is a natural extension of our ongoing mission to help families and their aging loved ones gain access to the services they need, ensuring they get the right care, every time."
Effective June 1, The Seniors' Care Assistance Program™, provided by Bayshore HealthCare, will be offered by OTIP to their retiree health plan members, connecting them to a registered nurse who specializes in senior care assistance.
"We are excited to be partnering with Bayshore HealthCare. At OTIP, we don't have a profit motive, we have something more inspiring: a "putting members of the education community first" motive," says Vic Medland, CEO, OTIP. "Through The Seniors' Care Assistance Program, we will be connecting our members and their immediate families, including their parents, to a registered nurse, who will assess their health care concerns and provide the best possible information or assistance."
