Bayshore Home Health acquisition benefits community of Victoria
MISSISSAUGA, On, April 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Bayshore Home Health, one of Canada's leading providers of home and community health care services, announced today the purchase of Victoria Personal Home Nursing. The acquisition expands Bayshore's presence on Vancouver Island and complements its existing branch in Victoria.
"Victoria Personal Home Nursing is a natural fit with Bayshore and in line with our ongoing strategy to broaden service offerings across Canada," says Stuart Cottrelle, president of Bayshore Home Health. "This acquisition adds a team of capable registered nurses to the Victoria branch, allowing us to better meet the needs of local residents."
Bayshore Home Health brings a national infrastructure to the newly merged organization. All clients will benefit from the company's depth and breadth in home health care expertise including every aspect of home health care - specialized nursing, light nursing, home support, companionship and housekeeping.
The merged company will be called Bayshore Home Health and will be managed at the local level by Stasia Hartley, the area director for the Victoria branch, along with her existing team.
"This acquisition means one-stop home health care shopping for the residents of Victoria," adds Hartley. "A client may initially require 24-hour care by a registered nurse. But as they recover a personal care aide could be more appropriate. Now we can offer specialized nursing care, as well as companionship, housekeeping and more from one office."
"This acquisition is a wonderful opportunity for Victoria Personal Home Nursing," concludes Barbara Newbigging, who founded the company in 1995. "Instead of worrying about administrative tasks, the entire team will now focus on providing quality home care."
