MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 3 /CNW/ - Bayshore Home Health announced today the purchase of Windsor, Ontario-based home health care company Community Care Therapy Limited (CCT). The acquisition expands Bayshore's home care service offerings to include occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech language pathology.
"The acquisition of Community Care Therapy allows Bayshore to provide a more complete and complex offering to meet client needs at a time when managing chronic disease is critical," says Stuart Cottrelle, president of Bayshore Home Health. "The consultant therapists have a great reputation in the community and truly expand the realm of thinking within Bayshore."
Bayshore Home Health brings a national infrastructure to the newly merged organization. CCT customers will benefit from Bayshore's fully integrated services offerings and its ability to reinvest in the business with support services that include human resources, information systems and marketing.
The company will continue to do business as Community Care Therapy and will be managed at the local level by former CCT executives and administrative personnel. Bayshore's long-term strategy is expected to see the expansion of these therapies beyond southern Ontario to complement its home care offerings across Canada.
"This acquisition is a great opportunity, not only for CCT executives, consultants and staff, but for the entire community," says Launa Groulx, co-founder of CCT. "Clients will now benefit from the full range of services that are available through Bayshore Home Health, giving them a one-stop-shop to better their quality of life."
