Mr. Barbaro is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Brick Group, Trans Global Life Insurance Co., Trans Global Insurance Company, and Levon Resources Ltd.

Mr. Barbaro served as President and Director of The Prudential Insurance Company of America, worldwide operations, and Chairman and CEO of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. Mr. Barbaro has served on numerous public and private boards in Canada and the United States, including those of Thomson-Reuters; Equifax, Choice Point, Northbridge Insurance, Clairvest Group, and FLOW International.

Mr. Barbaro has received many honours and awards including: Order of Ontario, which recognizes the highest level of individual excellence and achievement; Business Excellence Award from the Toronto Italian Chamber of Commerce, which honours an individual who demonstrates outstanding achievement in all categories - entrepreneurialism, philanthropy, community involvement as well as contribution to the arts.  He is also recipient of two Ron Barbaro Day Proclamations from the City of Toronto, and named Big Brother of the Year, New York City. Mr. Barbaro was awarded an honourary Doctorate of Human Letters (D.H.L.) from Eastern College, Philadelphia in recognition of his significant contributions to the business world.
