BC Children's Hospital and Global BC host 23rd annual Miracle Weekend live
from BC Children's Hospital, June 5-6
VANCOUVER, June 3 /CNW/ - BC Children's Hospital and Global BC TV present the 23rd annual Miracle Weekend on June 5 and 6 live from BC Children's Hospital. The televised event, which airs from 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 5 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 6, is a tribute to the hospital's patients, their families, staff and supporters and a culmination of the year's fundraising activities. It will also air on CHBC TV Kelowna and on Global BC HD.
The broadcast features stories about BC Children's Hospital's patients from across BC, including Kelowna, Prince George, Vernon, Chilliwack and Victoria.
Miracle Weekend is hosted by Global BC TV's Chris Gailus, Lynn Colliar, Wayne Cox, Jill Krop, Steve Darling and Mark Madryga, among others. Sharing in the hosting duties this year will also be BC Children's Hospital patients Megan McNeil of North Delta, Aaron Baskerville-Bridges of Victoria and Simran Sarai of Surrey.
Funds raised during the Miracle Weekend are used to meet the urgent needs of BC Children's Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the Child & Family Research Institute. Donations will be used to purchase vital equipment and support clinical care, research and development, and staff and family education programs.
