B.C. Securities Commission arrests Coquitlam man for fraud and theft
VANCOUVER, March 26, 2012 /CNW/ - The British Columbia Securities Commission's Criminal Investigations Team has arrested a Coquitlam man and charged him with two counts of fraud over $5,000 and theft over $5,000.
On March 6, the BCSC's Criminal Investigations Team arrested Amir Beiklik at his home, with the assistance of the Coquitlam RCMP. The arrest follows a lengthy and complex investigation by the BCSC.
The charges against Beiklik have not been proven.
The B.C. Securities Commission is the independent provincial government agency responsible for regulating trading in securities within the province.
