B.C. Securities Commission Criminal Investigations Team and Vancouver Police arrest Vancouver man for fraud and illegal sale of securities
VANCOUVER, April 2, 2012 /CNW/ - The British Columbia Securities Commission's Criminal Investigations Team and the Vancouver Police Department have arrested a Vancouver Man and charged him with eight counts that include fraud, selling securities without being registered, and selling securities without a prospectus.
On March 29, Claude (C.C.) West was arrested by the BCSC's Criminal Investigations Team without incident at his home in Vancouver. The Vancouver Police were on hand at the arrest, which was the result of an undercover investigation conducted by the BCSC.
West is charged in connection with Hal (Mick) Allan McLeod (aka Michael Smith) and the Provina Capital investment.
The charges against West have not been proven.
