BCAA auditions for the Canucks biggest booster
BURNABY, BC, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Are you the ultimate Vancouver Canucks fan? Want to go to every home game? Then head down to Granville and Georgia between noon and 1:30 Thursday, October 14th for open auditions for the "BCAA Booster Search." The first ten fans to show their stuff in three compulsory disciplines—cheering, dancing and photo-opping—will receive a pair of lower-bowl seats to an upcoming Canucks game.
The "BCAA Booster Search," a social media contest presented by BCAA and Canucks Sports and Entertainment, requires entrants to submit a video of one minute or less telling why they should be chosen as Booster Guy/Gal. The lucky winner will serve as captain of the BCAA Booster Zone section at Rogers Arena at every Canucks home game.
Not only will the winner get a prime seat at every home game, he or she will lead the cheering in the BCAA Booster Zone while wearing the official Booster Guy/Gal costume, consisting of a Canucks jersey, goal light helmet, jumper cables and power pack harness.
Secondary contest ticket giveaways will occur throughout the season, including a pair of lower bowl seats drawn before every Canucks home game for anyone who "Likes" the contest Facebook page (facebook.com/bcaafan). Fans of Booster Guy/Gal will also be able to follow him/her on Twitter (@BCAAbooster).
"The Canucks have an incredibly passionate fan base, and we hope to find the greatest fan of all," says Mark Donnelly, Director of Corporate Marketing & Advertising at BCAA. "Booster Guy or Gal has to have high energy, be outgoing and be dedicated to helping the team win."
For those who can't make it Thursday, the deadline to enter the BCAA Booster Search is October 27th. Following an online voting period for six finalists, the eventual contest winner will be introduced November 20th when the Canucks host Chicago at Rogers Arena. Full contest rules and regulations can be found at http://bcaa.com/boostersearchrules.
