BCAA is more than tow trucks, maps and insurance
B.C.'s auto association receives the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for its ethical business practices
BURNABY, BC, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - The British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) was awarded the Better Business Bureau's third annual Torch Award for Marketplace Excellence, which recognizes the organization for its ethical business practices and providing exceptional service.
"BCAA is a caring, values-based organization and it's our people who make us special," says Colin MacPhail, BCAA's director of Membership. "We have many stories of how our team members go the extra distance to serve our members and customers."
For 104 years, BCAA has been helping motorists and advocating for better, safer roads. The organization serves over 786,000 members and customers across B.C. and the Yukon.
Through more than a century of providing automotive, insurance and travel-related services, one thing has remained constant for BCAA - meeting the needs of its members and customers. And, ensuring members' and customers' peace of mind at home and on the road is a focus that trickles into all areas of the organization when it conducts business, works with people in its community and makes efforts to safe-guard the environment.
"BCAA is much more than tow trucks, maps and TourBooks®. It's also more than home, automobile and travel insurance," says MacPhail. "One of the reasons it's an honour for BCAA to win the Better Business Bureau Marketplace Excellence Award is that it recognizes BCAA for who we are, not just for the services we provide and products we sell."
"We like to think we've earned the trust and respect of British Columbians and we're thankful for the loyalty of BCAA members and customers," adds MacPhail. "This award is great encouragement to keep up the good work."
