BCGEU issues STRIKE NOTICE, Government workers to strike on Monday
VANCOUVER, Aug. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - B.C. Government workers in Prince George, Cranbrook, Nelson, Dawson Creek and Burns Lake will strike on Monday, the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU) announced today.
The BCGEU has issued a strike notice to the B.C. Labour Relations Board.
BCGEU members who work for the B.C. government will go on strike on Monday, August 20, 2012 during operating hours at the following worksites:

This is the third BCGEU job action this summer in support of the union's proposals to achieve a new collective agreement with the B.C. Government.
On July 3, BCGEU members picketed three Liquor Distribution Branch sites in Vancouver, Victoria and Kamloops. On August 7, the union took strike action at Ministry of Forests, Lands & Natural Resource Operations and Ministry of Labour, Agriculture, Health and Environment in Surrey, Kelowna, Campbell River and 100 Mile House.
