BCGEU members at Grand Forks and District Savings Credit Union ratify

VANCOUVER, May 6 /CNW/ - Members of the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU) who work at the Grand Forks and District Savings Credit Union have ratified a new collective agreement by 67 percent.
"I would like to congratulate the bargaining committee for getting this agreement. It was a tough round of bargaining," said Darryl Walker, BCGEU president. "Our members live and work in their community and getting an agreement like this helps provide some stability for our members and the operation of the credit union."
Highlights of the agreement includes: - three-year agreement expires June 30, 2012 - wage increases in the second and third year of 2 percent - paid birthday off - vision care provisions are increased from $125.00 to $250.00
There are 34 members of the BCGEU at the credit union.
